The Boks take on the All-Blacks in a repeat of the 1995 Rugby World Cup Final that was held in Johannesburg. The Boks pipped the result that day with a scoreline of 15-12.

Odds are currently evens for both sides to take the victory. I think we are all hoping for a match that emulates the South Africa vs France quarter-final nonetheless. The match kicks off at 8PM on October 28 in the Stade de France, Paris.

England face Argentina on Friday night this week for third place, a match that ended 27-10 in England’s favour during the pool stages. It will be an exciting affair to say the least, with neither team grabbing favour in terms of the odds for the match result. The match kicks off at 8PM on October 27 in the Stade de France, Paris.

Best Area to Stay in Paris

The stadium is located on the north side of Paris in Saint-Denis so you can board the RER train from the city centre to the La Plaine - Stade de France stop. It takes roughly 30 minutes to come from central Paris.

We recommend staying in Republique if you can as it is also north of the city centre and very close to many of our recommendations below.

Best Bakeries & Coffee in Paris

LIBERTÉ - Porte Saint Martin

  • Located just a street away from Canal Saint Martin, LIBERTÉ offers you the chance to try some of Paris’s finest baking affair.

  • Offering a modern array of croissants, pain au chocolat and exceptional chocolate babka, this local recommendation should allow you to kick start your morning just right.

  • Consistently ranked as the best bakery in Paris by some incredibly high-caliber chefs.

  • The selection of goods on offer changes daily, with 10-15 pastries on display.

  • Toasties, breakfast buns stuffed with bacon and cheese, all washed down with exemplary coffee. A morning well spent, a morning at Ten Belles.

Other recommendations

  • Tout Autour du Pain - Classic French bakery, tends to get busy around lunchtime and wildly popular with locals. Great for high-quality sandwiches to grab on the go.

  • Fringe Coffee - High-quality coffee to get those caffeine endorphins pumping or to give you that get-up-and-go after a hard night on the beer.

Best Restaurants in Paris

  • If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in between your copious onslaught of pints, this is where you go.

  • Very casual sit-down setting but the food is anything but casual. Taking classic American burgers and taking them up a notch.

  • Fantastic selections of desserts also to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Pizzeria Popolare - Rue Réaumur - Book here

  • Part of the Big Mamma group, with restaurants in Bordeaux, Marseille, and Lyon, you can sit down with your family and friends at long communal tables and enjoy Neapolitan pizza and a whole host of other Italian delicacies at a very reasonable price.

  • Drinks are amazing and the selection they have is vast and strong.

  • Reviving the classic Parisian brasserie.

  • This place is up there for me in terms of Paris restaurants. They focus on making, what were once exclusive and high-end brasseries, open to everyone.

  • Prices are quite reasonable, portions are perfect and the taste is sublime. If you want a taste of modern Parisian cuisine, this is the place.

Other recommendations

  • Beefbar - Beefbar is bringing the heat with some of the most luxurious selections of beef and fish in Paris. From tuna ceviche to tomahawk steaks, with no shortage of truffle available on a whole selection of dishes at your request.

  • Le Saint-Regis - We couldn’t leave you without a local recommendation for a classic French bistro. Perfecting the classics like steak tartare and escargots (hold the smooches for after you had a few drinks at the below spots as these snails are swimming garlic with a side of butter).

  • Osteria Brutto - A taste of NYC in Paris. Run by a New York chef inspired by Little Italy in his home state, you can grab a few Italian-American classics here along with some healthy portions.

  • Melt - Texas-style BBQ in Paris. Two young French chefs galavanted across Texas in search of the best chefs in 2013, they met Jeffrey Howard, the barbecue master of the famous Pecan Lodge.
