TOGETHER WITH
Rugby on Display - By The Rugby Collective
Scotland boasts one of the most exciting centre pairs in world rugby, built on the foundations that have been set, built, and perfected in Glasgow, we are seeing the fruits on the world stage.
Huwipulotu (Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones) is one dynamic duo you do not want to take your eyes off!
Other teams on display include France, England, Uruguay, Chile, Romania, Samoa and Tonga. Fixtures can be found here.
Check out their Twitter/X also for regular updates and coverage of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Best Place to Stay in Lille
Surprise, surprise, the best area to stay is also called Vieux. You will notice that this is a common trend across the cities we have covered, including Lyon, Marseille, and Nice.
Speaking of Lyon, want to eat and drink where local players indulge? Lyon Rugby’s centre, Josiah Maraku provides his best recommendations for Lyon.
Cobblestoned streets, and a myriad of drinking and dining options, make this area one of the most sought-after when it comes to visiting Lille.
Definitely not as central as Toulouse, and a similar distance as the stadium in Nice, you can expect a 40-minute metro journey.
You might find yourself floating to the stadium, however. Bordering Belgium, the city is rocking an incredible array of craft beers that are sure to knock you into next year.
Knock you so hard, in fact, you may enjoy watching England play at the moment.

Best Breakfast & Coffee in Lille
What to know:
Centrally located and founded by a craftsman-roaster, also named Wally, this place can accommodate big groups but be sure to book.
Providing both savoury and sweet brunch options operating by three values. Conviviality, gluttony, and love of coffee.
You’ll be making more than one visit here for sure.
What to get:
Chicken burger & their selection of pancakes
What to know:
I remember being in France, horrifically hungover on a regular basis. To aid the recovery process, I used to head to a bakery, just like this, and get their freshly baked baguettes filled with salads and meat. Washing it all down, of course, with a pint of French cidre.
These guys focus on the details. Down to the point of using locally sourced butter for their pastries. A close second to Kerry Gold but, I am biased.
What to get:
Savoury baguettes & a box of their pastries for your World Cup match
Other recommendations
The Delambre Bakery - Strong competitor to Levain in NYC but with some French ingenuity. Cookies surely to keep you full.
Meert - A Lille landmark that is synonymous with its caramel waffles and pastries that almost look too good to eat.
