World Cup Series - Saint-Étienne
TOGETHER WITH
Rugby on Display - By The Rugby Collective
Enforcer. Dominance. Brute force. All very apt adjectives for the 145kg, 6 foot 8 Australian second row and captain: Will Skelton.
If you want big carries, bigger hits, and even bigger game impacts, keep your eyes on this man. One of my ones to watch this World Cup and I’m sure he will not disappoint.
Other teams on display include Argentina, Samoa, Portugal, Fiji, Italy, and Namibia. Fixtures can be found here.

Best Place to Stay in Saint-Étienne
Close to the train station, heaps of pubs, and our recommendations below, you won’t go wrong grabbing a rooftop apartment in Centre Ville.
The best thing about Centre Ville? There will be a tonne of Aussies. Foster’s beer coming out of their gills, Kangaroo boxing championships, and Eddie Jones rugby. Apparently, they don’t like Fosters?

Not quite as close as Toulouse, you can expect a 30-minute tram journey.
Looking at the map, the stadium is only 3 kilometres from the Centre Ville. So you have two choices:
Walk/get the tram to the stadium with a few Fosters… I mean drinks in hand; or
Stay in one of the pubs below shortly before kick-off and get a taxi which takes approximately 10 minutes.

Best Breakfast & Coffee in Saint-Étienne
What to know:
Serving some of the most renowned breakfast items we have come to know and love.
Portions here are healthy, to say the least.
Calcutta butter chicken, Big Toronto breakfast, and New York benedict. I need not say any more other, this is a must-try.
What to get:
Oslo’s gravlax & Pain Perdu
What to know:
Central location and offering high-quality pastries, filled to the brim with butter, sugar, and chocolate.
If you can’t wait to get back to where you’re staying, more than appropriate to eat the baguette as you walk. It’s the equivalent of drinking a beer out of a brown paper bag in France.
What to get:
Cream puff & a box of their other pastries for your World Cup match

Another recommendation
Mary’s Coffee Shop - Reminiscent of Wally’s, these guys focus on gluttony in the form of sandwiches, sweet treats, and coffee.
