Fixtures - Week 2

  • Scotland vs France - This appears to be the headline fixture for the weekend ahead. France had a rickety start against Ireland and didn’t look like they were at the races.

  • Scotland will have the wind behind their backs, with a historical win in Cardiff. The first since 2002. Odds are in favour of France at 1:2 and Scotland 8:5.

  • England vs Wales - Who knows how this one will play out? Wales youngsters made an emphatic comeback against Scotland in the second half which provides a glimpse of promise.

  • England’s lack-lustre display against the Italians doesn’t give much reason to be optimistic. However, like Wales, England’s young guns are incredibly exciting to watch. Odds are in favour of England at 1:6 and Wales at 4:1.

  • Ireland vs Italy - I think we all know how this will fair out. Odds are in favour of Ireland at 1:250 and Italy at 20:1.

Edinburgh - Scotland vs France

Best Places for Breakfast, Dinner and Drinks in Edinburgh

Edinburgh Larder - Blackfriars St

  • Tucked away just off the Royal Mile, you’ll met by the team’s welcoming staff to indulge in their award-winning dishes.

  • You’ll find local players making a pit stop in here on their days off, likely hounding down the full breakfasts and buttery baps on offer.

Pizzeria 1926 - Dalry Road

  • A traditional Neopolitan pizzeria and the first of its kind in Edinburgh.

  • Picture-perfect pizza served with lashings of Moretti and Peroni. You’ll be in and in a heartbeat, leaving full and satisfied.

Platform 5 - Clifton Terrace

  • Bringing you the very best Edinburgh has to offer in rugby, food and drink.

  • This place is wildly popular with the locals and Scottish fans travelling from across the country. French fans can wear their jersey with pride in here, but expect a complimentary slag here and there.

London - England vs Wales

Best Places for Breakfast, Dinner and Drinks in London

Fortitude - Colonnade

  • You wont forget your visit to Fortitude. Their bakes are made from sourdough to make digesting their goods even easier.

  • Style is commensurate to substance in here as their bakes taste just as good as they look.

  • There are hundreds of coffee places in London. The Hoarder is favourite of mine but you can find other great places here.

Dublin - Ireland vs Italy

  • If you click “Dublin” above, you will find our original list of recommendations about where to stay, eat and drink.

Best Places for Breakfast, Dinner and Drinks in Dublin

Brother Hubbard - Ranelagh

  • Two Irish fellas serving up Middle Eastern cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You read that correctly and yes, they are smashing it.

  • Everything from cracking coffee and monstrous meat mezze platters, you’ll leave here feeling full and caffeinated for your matchday ahead.

Paulie’s Pizza - Grand Canal Street

  • Two brothers, one a chef and the other a stockbroker, set up a bustling sandwich shop nearby (Junior’s Deli) and decided to open up a pizza place to capitalise on their success.

  • Only a 5-minute walk from the Aviva.

Slattery’s - Grand Canal Street Upper

  • You could fall out of Slattery’s and land in to Paulie’s they are that close. This place is a regular haunt for matchgoers on the day and they are used to handling the crowds.

  • An epic spot to head to after the match also as you make your way back in to Dublin city centre for the festivities. You can find some other pubs here.
