• RFU purchased a 10 ¼ acre market garden in Twickenham for £5,572.12.6. Committee member William Williams was largely responsible for acquiring the land, against much opposition.

• It becomes known as "Billy Williams' Cabbage Patch". Ever wonder where the Cabbage Patch pub got its name?

• The stadium has a capacity of 82,000 and is the 2nd largest stadium in the UK. Wembley, where highly paid ballerinas play football, is the largest in the UK.

• The grub at Megan's is a testament to creativity and innovation, featuring an enticing selection of Mediterranean-style dishes crafted using only the best ingredients.

• Twickenham is easily accessible from here also with bus routes, taxis and my preferred option, a stroll (albeit 35 minutes). An equally good alternative to here is Bill’s in Richmond. Grab a great hefty fry.

E Pellici - Bethnal Grn Rd

• E Pellicci isn't your average London cafe. It's a Bethnal Green institution, steeped in history and serving up legendary portions since 1900.

• Forget fancy frills, E Pellicci focuses on the classics. Their full English breakfast is the star of the show. We're talking perfectly fried eggs, juicy sausages, crisp bacon, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and fried bread – all on a plate that could double as a frisbee.
