Best Area to Stay in Belfast & the Ulster Rugby Stadium
Once a historic trading quarter and now home to some of Belfast’s trending restaurants and bars.
Cobblestoned streets, vibrant atmosphere and eclectic street art make it a hub for music, entertainment, and a litany of great pubs.

Roughly 5 kilometres from the Cathedral Quarter, you have two options when it comes to getting there. You can get the 6A bus from Queens Square and get off at Bell’s Bridge. From here the stadium is only a 10-minute walk. Another option is a 10-minute taxi journey that should cost between £10-£15. If you are in a group, this is your best bet.
Some pubs to head to before the match can be found below.

Best Breakfast & Coffee in Belfast for Before and After Your Ulster Rugby Match
Halt - Beersbridge Road
Opened by ex-Merchant Hotel chef, Stephen Johnston, just in July of this year, he runs a very tight ship regarding brunch.
Bringing a modern spin to classic menu items such as morning fries, pancakes and poached eggs.
Having fitted out the entire space and decorated the café all by himself, you have to admire Stephen’s work ethic. His eye for detail and passion for food is reflected in the reviews to date.
Belfast BapCo - St.Georges Market
Serving fresh and traditional Belfast breakfast favourites. Arguably the best feed you can get before your Ulster Rugby fixture.
Portions here are generous, to say the least. These baps will provide you with optimal soakage for the night ahead and revive you back to life the morning after.
Heading to the market and getting one of these is an experience in itself, and one not to be missed.
Other recommendations
No. 36 - Another very reliable breakfast spot, providing supporters dishes ranging from high-quality fry-ups to American breakfasts.
General Merchants - Perfect stop-off if there is an early kick-off at the Kingspan. A 20 minute-walk from the stadium and very popular with Ulster Rugby players on their day off.
